  • Nighthawks Land 15 Student-Athletes on Academic All-Conference Team

    A record 211 student-athletes, including 15 members of Newbury College, have been named to the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Academic All-Conference team for the 2018 Fall semester, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday afternoon. The 211 student-athletes earning recognition bests the previous record of 210 honorees in the spring of 2017.
  • Sophia Ortiz Named to All-Conference Sportsmanship Team

    The NECC announced its 2018 Women's Volleyball All-Conference teams and major award winners on Monday afternoon. The awards were voted on by the conference's ten coaches following the conclusion of the regular season. Nine of the ten schools are represented on the all-conference teams, with Elms College leading the way with four selections, while Southern Vermont College is right behind with three, as well as three of the four major awards.

    Rams junior Deirdre Fay (Cornwall, N.Y.) and freshman Brandee Thomas (North Kingstown, R.I.) each finished with seven kills as the Framingham State Rams defeated the Newbury Nighthawks 3-0 (25-11, 25-19, 25-17) on Thursday night in non-conference action at Pappas Gymnasium.

  • Newbury Volleyball Announces 2018 Schedule

    The Nighthawks women's volleyball team is looking to bounce back in 2018, looking to return to the New England Collegiate Conference Postseason this season. New England College and Eastern Nazarene College join the NECC full time in 2018, giving the sport 10 teams, the highest amount of teams that women's volleyball has seen since nine teams played in the NECC in 2015.
