CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Lynx senior Jordan Mitchell scored a goal and added an assist as the Lesley Lynx stayed unbeaten in the New England Collegiate Conference by virtue of their 4-0 win over the Newbury Nighthawks on Saturday night.
Mitchell started the scoring in the 26th minute with her seventh goal of the season. Her shot found the back of the net with a frenzy of players in front of the Nighthawks goal, giving Lesley a 1-0 lead.
Just following halftime, Lynx senior Kendall Eagan scored her second of the season, a one-time shot, giving the Lynx a 2-0 lead. Sophomore Julia Cohn made it 3-0 Lynx, converting on her shot, coming from a cross on the left wing. Junior Katelyn Scott finished the scoring with her first goal of 2018 for a 4-0 lead.
Lynx sophomore Jill Narby picked up the win for Lesley, improving to 5-2 this season. Nighthawks senior Noelle Sass (Randolph, Mass.) made 22 saves on the night.
The Nighthawks regular-season finale comes Wednesday night as they host Dean College at Union Point Sports Complex at 8:15 p.m.
