Sass' Stellar Preformance Not Enough Against Framingham State

Brookline, MA -- Junior goalkeeper Noelle Sass (Randolph, MA/ Fontbonne Academy) set a program record for saves in a game for the second time this season but her efforts could not propel the Nighthawks to victory as they fell to the Framingham State University Rams, 6-0, Thursday afternoon at TGM Field located on the campus of Hellenic College.

Sass made 32 saves on the afternoon while the Rams took a total of 63 shots during the contest. Conversely, the Nighthawks attempted just four shots on the afternoon, one of which was save by FSU keeper Kristen Hansen.

Ana Barretto paced the Rams offense, netting a first half hat-trick. She opened the scoring in the 12th minutes and doubled her tally in the 37th. She competed the three goal performance in the 41st minute.

Shelly Nardi, Kaelen Larocque and Kayla Almstrom also scored for the Rams while Almstrom and Larocque each added two assists a piece.

Junior Jennifer McDonald (Magnolia, TX/ Magnolia) took three of the four shots for the Nighthawks while senior Shannon Walsh (Massapequa, NY/ Massapequa) added the other.

The Nighthawks return to action Saturday afternoon when the host Bay Path University at 12:00 P.M.
