End of Three Game Road Trip

Newbury will play their third straight road game before returning home on Wednesday. The Nighthawks head to the University of St. Joseph of Connecticut looking for their second consecutive victory. The Blue Jays currently sit at 2-2 and enter the match winning their last contest against Mount Ida College.

Offensive Power Starting Up

Nighthawks junior forward Shannon Walsh (Massapequa, N.Y.) finally broke the scoreless drought of Newbury on Thursday night against Anna Maria, scoring a pair of goals in the Nighthawks 2-0 win over the Amcats.

Steady Play in Net

Sophomore goalie Noelle Sass (Randolph, Mass.) has provided stability in net for the Nighthawks in her last two starts. Although she lost her first start of the season 2-0 against Clark, she recorded 11 saves for the Nighthawks. Against Anna Maria, Sass recorded nine saves en route to her first career shutout and victory in the Nigthawks 2-0 win.
