  • Nighthawks Split Thursday Doubleheader at Salem State

    After a loss in game one of the doubleheader, the Nighthawks responded with a 10-5 victory in game two, splitting a pair of games with the Salem State Vikings on Thursday afternoon from Alumni Field at the O'Keefe Sports Complex.
  • Nighthawks Swept at Wentworth on Wednesday Afternoon

    The Newbury Nighthawks returned to action on Wednesday afternoon against the Wentworth Institute of Technology Leopards, taking a pair of losses in the afternoon doubleheader. In game one, a 2-2 tie was broken by the Leopards thanks to a seven-run sixth inning while in game two, the Leopards put up 10 runs in the second inning, en route to the sweep.
  • Nighthawks Split Pair in Florida, Earn First Win of 2019 Season

    The Nighthawks picked up their first win of the season on Tuesday afternoon with their 9-5 victory over Washington & Jefferson College at THE Spring Games at Sleepy Hollow Sports Complex. After dropping their opening game of the day against Olivet College, Newbury moves to 1-5 this season after the win over the Presidents.
  • Nighthawks Drop Two in Florida at THE Spring Games

    The Newbury Nighthawks fell twice on Monday with a morning loss to Sage College, 6-4, followed by an afternoon loss to Juniata College, 20-9. The Nighthawks are now 0-4 at THE Spring Games in Florida and have four games remaining before returning home.
  • Nighthawks Spring Break Starts With Pair of Losses on Sunday

    The Nighthawks began their Spring Break in Florida with two losses to start the 2019 season. In the first game of the year, the Nighthawks were shutout in the morning by North Park University, 8-0, followed by an afternoon loss to Catholic University 21-3.
  • Nighthawks Tabbed Sixth in NECC Softball Preseason Poll

    Lesley University collected 90 total points, and two first-place votes, to claim the top spot in the 2019 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Preseason Coaches Poll. Lesley, led by third-year head coach Heather Ross, returns six starters, including the reigning NECC Rookie of the Year and National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region selection, Jordan Day (Seminole, Fla.).
  • Sass Named Division III Second-Team Preseason All-American by Fastpitch News

    For the third consecutive season, Nighthawks now-senior Noelle Sass (Randolph, Mass.) has been named a Division III Preseason All-American by Fastpitch News. It's her second consecutive nomination to the Preseason All-American Second Team, after being named to the same team in the 2018 preseason.
