CULVER CITY, Calif. - Nighthawks junior Noelle Sass has been named to the Fastpitch News Division III All-American Second Team, her first election to the FPN All-American Team in her career. Sass was named the New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Year and a member of the All-NECC First Team earlier this year.
In her Player of the Year and now All-American season, Sass batted .444, with 52 hits, including 10 doubles, four triples, and 10 home runs. Sass led the conference with those 10 home runs and also finished with the most runs scored (51) and RBIs (41) and best on-base percentage (.554) and slugging percentage (.855) in the NECC.
Sass also became the first player in program history with at least 100 career hits, runs scored, and RBIs. Sass' 150 career hits rank third in program history, her 138 runs scored are second all-time, and her 125 RBIs are most in program history.
In addition, her 30 career home runs are the most of any player in NECC history, a conference that dates back to 2008.
Fellow NECC student-athlete Lauren Vallee was also named an All-American by FPN. The senior Bay Path University shortstop finishes her career as an All-American.
