Dudley, Mass. - Daivon Edwards scored 27 points on 10-22 shooting however the Newbury College Nighthawks dropped their season opener against Nichols College, 117-72, on Wednesday night in Dudley, Mass on the campus of Nichols. It was the first game for both institutions and also the first game in charge for newly appointed head coach Rich Fazzi.
Nichols jumped out to an impressive 47-22 halftime lead before scoring 70 points en route to the victory. The Nighthawks return to action on Saturday, November 18th when they host the Emerson College Lions in the home opener. Tip-off is scheduled for 1:00 pm at Pappas Gymnasium on the campus of Hellenic College.
