Nearly 3,000 miles away from home, the Nighthawks look to continue their hot start to the season in the heat of the Desert Southwest as they prepare for nine games in six days in the 2017 Tucson Invitational Games, hosted by the Kino Sports Complex.

In what will be the first week of the season for many teams, the Nighthawks go to Arizona with a 4-0 start, thanks to a four-game sweep of the UMaine Presque Isle Owls last week.

The Nighthawks open with a doubleheader on Sunday afternoon, facing Simpson College of Iowa, who opens their season on Saturday vs. Aurora College of Colorado.

Another doubleheader waits for the Nighthawks on Monday, first an early evening game against North Central (Minn.) College, followed by a night game vs. Aurora.

Tuesday is one of two off days for the Nighthawks, who come back to the field on Wednesday to finish another game vs. Aurora.

Thursday gives the Nighthawks another reprieve from their schedule, for after Thursday, the Nighthawks will engage in a pair of doubleheaders on Friday and Saturday.

Friday, the Nighthawks get a pair against Bethany Lutheran of Mankato, Minnesota.

Saturday, the Nighthawks start with an afternoon game against Marian College of Wisconsin, before resting up for an evening match against Salem State University of Massachusetts.
