BROOKLINE, Mass. - Nighthawks senior Omar Williams (Queens, N.Y.) is off to a blazing start for the Nighthawks and was named New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Week, and now the Nighthawk of the Week, for the week ending on Nov. 11.
Williams averaged 39.5 points per game in the first two games of the Nighthawks season. He started the season by dropping 35 points in a win over Rivier and then followed up with a program-record 44-point performance in an overtime win over Curry. Williams shot 20-of-48 (41.7%) from the field and made 33-of-38 (86.8%) foul shots. He also averaged 6.5 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game.
