The Mission of Newbury College Sports Medicine

The goal of Newbury College Sports Medicine is to provide services in injury assessment, evaluation, prevention, rehabilitation, treatment and immediate care to the institution's student-athletes. Working with the college's athletic trainer(s), student-athletes will be educated regarding pre- and post-activity preparation and recovery to benefit their performance. In conjunction with other health care professionals, the Head Athletic Trainer will communicate the proper care. Newbury College Sports Medicine strives to promote the best in overall health, nutrition, physical and mental well-being.

A Certified Athletic Trainer will be available for home events, available 90 minutes prior to game time and 30 minutes following the completion of the contest. Newbury teams will not be traveling with a trainer, however, each team will have a medical kit stocked with the necessary supplies.

Newbury College's athletic training room is located in East Hall. Hours will be posted on the door and are subject to change depending on practice and game schedules. If you need to make an appointment, please e-mail Jayson Hill at

Outdoor athletic contests are held at several locations; visit the Facilities & Directions page on the Newbury Athletic website for directions. There are no indoor athletic training room accommodations at any of these sites. Any pre-game taping will be done on the sideline.

Pre-game taping will be available at home games; visiting team please bring appropriate athletic training supplies. For Visiting Team Athletic Trainers: If there are several student-athletes who require pre-game taping or need a specific type of tape job, please e-mail the head athletic trainer in advance."
