Attleboro, Mass - The New England Collegiate Conference tabbed Junior Savannah Olsen as the Women's Basketball NECC Player of the Week for the week ending on November 20, 2017.

Savannah Olsen (Battle Creek, Mich.) averaged a double-double in the first week of the season, with 20.0 points per game and 10.7 rebounds per game, while adding 2.3 assists per game. She posted a double-double in a season-opening setback at Mount Ida College, with 21 points and 11 rebounds, with 2 assists and a steal.

In the opener of the St. Joseph of Connecticut Tip-Off Tournament, Olsen dropped 19 points, grabbed seven rebounds and added three assists in a win over Fitchburg State.  In the championship game, Olsen led the Nighthawks to a victory over the host Bluejays, posting another double-double with 20 points and 14 rebounds. She also contributed two assists and a steal on her way to nabbing tournament MVP honors.

This is the third time in her career Olsen has earned NECC Player of the Week honors after earning the accolades twice during the 2016-17 season.
