Q: How did you end up at Newbury?
A: Because Newbury offered a new program, Sports Management
Q: What characteristics do you think define a
successful Nighthawk?
A: Good team player, loyalty, heart, determination, always being
uplifting to others even when I'm not doing so well.
Q: Did you feel welcomed on your teams?
A: Yes, they're like my second family
Q: What was the biggest difference from high school
sports to college sports?
A: Commitment and energy - such a different environment
Q: What would you say is the most difficult part of
being a student-athlete here at Newbury?
A: Maintaining good grades and still being able to play sports
Q: What is the hardest part of being a two-sport athlete
and maintaining an above-average GPA? How did you overcome
it?
A: The hardest part was getting through mid-terms and finals, but
that's where time management comes into play
Q: What advice would you give to an upcoming first-year
athlete?
A: Cherish every moment like it's your last because time sure does
fly
Q: How has Newbury changed in your last four years here
with us?
A: A much more committed coaching staff
Q: What makes you a good athlete?
A: Discipline
Q: After earning the Sportsmanship and Nighthawk awards
and being named captain of both the women's basketball and softball
teams, do you feel pressure from coaches and spectators to maintain
your reputation?
A: Not really - I like to think that I was raised to be a good
person on and off the court/field no matter what is thrown at me
Q: What are your plans after college?
A: I plan on giving back to the community by teaching them what
I've learned growing up
Q: Who is your favorite athlete and why?
A: Rajon Rondo - small on the outside but plays with a big heart no
matter the competition
