Brian Ford begins his first season as Head Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Coach at Newbury College.  Ford has worked in the Admissions Department at Newbury as an admissions counselor since 2010 and will continue this role in conjunction with his new position as a first time head coach for the Nighthawks.

Ford is a 2009 graduate from Bryant University in Smithfield, RI where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a minor in Psychology.  While at Bryant, Ford was a three year member of the Cross Country team in which he was a Top 7 performer, finished in the top 10 freshman at the 2005 NCAA Division II Regional and qualified for the New England Championships each year.  Ford was also a member of the Outdoor Track & Field team and qualified for the New England Championship each season while having his best year in 2006 when he was selected third team all-conference in the 3K steeplechase. 

A native of Tewksbury, MA, Ford attended Central Catholic High School where he was a standout member of the Track & Field program.  Ford received countless awards at Central Catholic including All-Conference, All-State and the Massachusetts Division II Boy’s Mile Champion.
