Henry Morales to Lead Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Track and Field Programs

Brookline, MA -- Director of Athletics Jonathan Harper is pleased to announce the appointment of Henry Morales as the new head coach for the Men's and Women's Cross Country and Track and Field programs. Morales will begin his new role at Newbury College immediately.

Morales arrives on Fisher Avenue after serving as the Assistant Men's and Women's Track and Field Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at the University of Massachusetts - Boston since August 2013.  

Prior to joining the coaching staff at UMass Boston, Henry Morales was a standout athlete for the Beacons from 2010 to 2014. Morales set program marks in the long jump and decathlon and was a member of the recording breaking relay squads in the 4x100, 4x200, 4x400, and the 1,600 meter sprint medley.

During his time as a Beacon student-athlete, Morales also served as an assistant track and field coach at his alma mater, Chelsea High School.

Henry holds a United States Track and Field Association - Level 1 Certification as well a certification in USTFCCA- Pole Vault. Additionally, Henry holds a Personal Trainer Certification from the American Sports & Fitness Association.

Morales will oversee operations in the Chawla Fitness Center in conjunction with his coaching roles.

Henry holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Exercise Health Sciences from the University of Massachusetts - Boston is is currently working towards an MBA in Sports Management from the University of Southern New Hampshire.

Henry currently resides in Chelsea, MA.
