Daniel Webster College Eagle Invitational
Nashua - The Daniel Webster College men's and women's cross
country teams finished fourth and fifth, respectively at the annual
Eagle Invitational held on the College campus Friday afternoon.
On the women's side, NHTI took the victory placing three runners in
the top 10 on the way to a team low of 50 points. Wheelock took
second (73), followed by Newbury (84), Rivier (92), Daniel Webster
(102) and Elms (102), and Mitchell (127) while Suffolk did not
score.
Patricia Pruikma (Waterville Valley, N.H.) of NHTI took the
individual 5K title winning in 23:08 while Newbury's Solange Thomas
(Webster, Mass.) was second (23:10) and NHTI's Jacqueline Towle was
third (23.:35).
Rivier's Rebecca Vincent (23:41) and Wheelock's Katherine Needham
(24:03) rounded out the top five.
Chelsea Graf (Danbury, N.H.) led the Eagles finishing 7th overall
(24:42), while Erin Pedersen (Watertown, N.Y.) was 13th (25:58),
Rebecca Bennett (Salem, Mass.) was 19th, Alycia Gervais (Windham
Conn.) was 36th (33:30) and Amy Nelson (Cheshire, Conn.) was 41st
(36:44).
