Women's Volleyball Predicted to Finish Fourth
Last year the Newbury College women's volleyball team made their second straight appearance in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) semifinals with 4-3 conference record. This fall the Nighthawks were picked by the nine head coaches to finish fourth.
The Eagles of Daniel Webster College, who ousted the Nighthawks in the NECC semifinals, 3-1, have been chosen as the pre-season favorite to win the conference title. Daniel Webster returns five starters from last year's squad that went 7-0 in conference action before losing to Lesley University in the finals. The defending champion Lynx placed third with a total of 61 points including one first place vote while Southern Vermont came in second with 69 points and three first place votes.
