Three Nighthawks Earn Conference Honors

Three Newbury College women’s volleyball student-athletes were honored by the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC). Sophomore Stephanie Williams (Medford, Mass.) and senior Amy Chen (Chelmsford, Mass.) earned All-NECC Honorable Mention while sophomore Regina Sibilia (Agawam, Mass.) was named to the NECC All-Tournament team.

Williams led the Nighthawks with 40 solo blocks and 63 total blocks as well as was second on the team registering 175 kills on the season. Against conference opponents, she finished in the conference top 10 with a .208 hitting percentage on the season.

Chen led the conference with 127 digs versus opposing NECC schools, averaging 5.29 digs per set. She finished second to only Southern Vermont’s Joanna Hogue tallying 368 kills.
