Newbury Women's Volleyball Finishes 2008 Season
The Newbury College Women's Volleyball program finished the 2008 season with an overall record of 3-27 (2-5 NECC). The Nighthawks placed 6th in the NECC capturing the final post-season spot for the conference tournament.

Becker Sweeps Tri-Match
The Becker College Women's Volleyball team defeated both Newbury College and Mitchell College, going 2-0 in today's tri-match played at Hellenic College in Brookline, MA. The Hawks defeated the Nighthawks 3-0 in the first match by scores of 25-18, 25-19, and 25-19. They then faced the Mitchell College Mariners, defeating them in five sets (25-13, 21-25, 27-25, 17-25, and 16-14). In the third match of the day, the Nighthawks battled with the Mariners, but lost 3-0 with set scores of 26-24, 25-16, and 25-19.

Visiting Western New England College defeated Newbury College 3-0 in Women's Volleyball action tonight at Hellenic College. The Golden Bears improve to 12-16, while the Nighthawks fall to 3-23.

Crusaders Dominate Nighthawks
Visting Eastern Nazarene College defeated Newbury College 3-0 tonight in a match played at Hellenic College in Brookline, MA. The Crusaders' victory brings their overall record to 9-12, while the Nighthawks fall to 3-20 on the season.

Rams Overpower Nighthawks
The Rams of Suffolk University defeated the Newbury College Nighthawks 3-0 in Women's Volleyball action tonight in Brookline, MA. Newbury kept it tight in the first two sets (25-18, 25-17) but were overpowered by the Suffolk offense in the third set (25-8), ending the match in just over an hour. The Rams improve to 6-13, while the Nighthawks fall to 3-19.

The Simmons College Sharks defeated the Nighthawks of Newbury College 3-0 in a home match tonight at Hellenic College. Newbury drops to 3-14, while Simmons improves to 8-6.

The Newbury College Nighthawks dropped a home match to the Seahawks of Salve Regina University tonight at Hellenic College. Salve Regina improves their record to 9-8, while Newbury falls to 3-13.

Nighthawks Soar to First Home Victory
The Newbury College Nighthawks picked up their first home win of the season by defeating the Wildcats of Bay Path College 3-1 this afternoon in Brookline, MA. With the victory, the Nighthawks improve to 3-12 (2-1 NECC), while the Wildcats drop to 1-10 (0-4 NECC).

Rams Shine as they Sweep Tri-Match
The Framingham State College Women's Volleyball team defeated both Newbury College and Wentworth Institute of Technology to go 2-0 on the day and improved their overall record to 5-5. The opening match of the day saw the Newbury Nighthawks take on the Framingham State College Rams. The Rams, beat Newbury in three games, 25-22, 25-12, 25-17. The Wentworth Leopards then fell to the Rams in the second match 25-21, 25-9, 25-20. In the final match of the day, the Nighthawks took on the Leopards, who prevailed again in three games with scores of 25-9, 25-12, 25-20.

Nighthawks Drop Home Opener to Vikings
The Newbury College Nighthawks lost a tough 5-set match to the visiting Salem State College Vikings. After losing the first two sets (25-19, 25-21), Newbury rallied to overtake Salem State in set three (25-23), and again in a thrilling set four (31-29). Set five proved to be a battle, but Newbury was unable to seal the victory losing the final game 15-13.

Nighthawk Women's Volleyball Looks for Continued Success in 2008
Under first year Head Coach Jaime Terenzi, the Newbury College Women's Volleyball team enters conference play as a force to be reckoned with in 2008. Returning only three players from last year's squad, the Nighthawks have pooled a talented mix of youth and experience to make this year a success.
