Bay Path Sneaks By Nighthawks

The Wildcats of Bay Path College clawed their way to a solid 6-3 victory over host Newbury College in an important New England College match up in Chestnut Hill today.  This improved their record to an impressive 9-2 overall, and 6-1 in the conference.

Julia Bendzin (Poestenkill, NY/Averhill) and Cristina Ruiz (Waterbury, CT/Wilby) were the top players for the visiting Wildcats as they won both their singles and doubles matches on the day.

Kristen Conners (Riverside, RI/East Providence) and (Jen Swafford Merrimack, NH/Merrimack) were victorious in their singles play, while Alexandra Derderian (North Providence, RI / North Providence) and Swafford were again successful in their doubles match.

The Nighthawks are very busy in their final week of the season.  They will host UMass Dartmouth on Tuesday as well as Lesley University on Thursday; both matches are a 3:30 start.  They will then travel this weekend to participate in the New England Collegiate Conference women's tennis championships at Bay Path College.
