BROOKLINE, Mass. – Senior forward Shannon Walsh (Massapequa, N.Y.) was named to the New England Collegiate Conference Women's Soccer All-Conference Second Team as voted on by the conference's coaches. Walsh was named to the team as a defender but led Newbury College in goals (7), points (16) and assists (tie-2) in 18 games.
BOSTON, Mass. - Junior keeper Noelle Sass (Randolph, Mass.) set the school-record for saves in a season but it was not enough as the University of St. Joseph's (CT) defeated Newbury College women's soccer, 5-0 this afternoon at Hellenic Field. Blue Jay senior forward Jessica Spezzano (Watertown, Conn.) paced the victors with a goal and three assists.

Director of Athletics Jonathan Harper announced Friday the appointment of Lindsey Garvey as Head Women’s Soccer Coach at Newbury College, effective immediately. Garvey comes to Newbury College following one season as Interim Head Women’s Soccer Coach at Wheaton (Mass.) College.
After four straight seasons of recording less than five wins, the women’s soccer team came out in 2016 with their second-best win total and winning percentage in program history, winning seven matches, four of which were in conference.
