Bobby Desilets enters his third season as head women's soccer coach at Newbury College with a career record of 10-20-2 and is 7-8-1 against New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) opponents.
In 2010, he led the Nighthawks to their first winning conference season at 4-3-1 and their second consecutive NECC post-season berth as the fifth seed.
In his first season at the helm, 2009, he led the Nighthawks to
a 3-5 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) record and their
first playoff berth in the short history of the program.
Desilets comes to Newbury with a strong coaching background, most
recently as the Assistant Women's Soccer Coach at Lesley
University. Desilets helped lead the team to their best record
(16-3-2) in program history in 2008. Prior, Desilets was the
Lesley University Men's Soccer assistant coach, along with the
Eastern Mass FC U-15 boys Head Coach. Desilets started his coaching
career as a coach at the Brian Ainscough soccer camp before
becoming the Assistant Coach at Matignon High School. He
currently coaches for the Scorpions Soccer Club (ranked the 27th
best Girls Club in the US) as the U-16 Girls Head Coach and is also
an ODP evaluator. Desilets currently holds a USSF Nation D
license.
A Rhode Island native, Desilets played collegiate soccer at
Bowdoin College. He was a four year starter of the team and was
named to the All-New England Team in 2004. Desilets also
completed his career ranked in the top ten for numerous records
including 7th in most points in a career, 4th in career assists and
3rd in most goals in a season. He graduated in 2005 with a
B.S. in Economics and History. Currently Desilets works and resides
in Dedham, MA.

Lani Cabral-Pini enters her second year as assistant coach at Newbury College. In her first season, she helped the Nighthawks to their first winning conference season with a 4-3-1 record and a New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) post-season berth for the second consecutive year.
Cabral-Pini achieved a high level of success during her collegiate experience, being a three sport athlete at Lesley University. She was an All-conference player three out of her four years and also was named Female Athlete of the Year in 2009. In addition to her soccer experience, she was also a standout for both the women's basketball and softball programs.

Kathryn Desilets enters her third season as an assistant under head coach Bobby Desilets and will work primarily with player development and recruitment. In 2010, she helped the Nighthawks to their first winning conference season with a 4-3-1 record and a New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) post-season berth for the second consecutive year.
Prior to Newbury, Desilets has served as an assistant coach to the U19 girls team of the Burrillville-Glocester Youth Soccer Association in 2006-2007, following two seasons with the U16 division.
A native of Rhode Island, Desilets received both her bachelors and masters degrees from Rhode Island College in Secondary Education/English (2000) and English (2009), respectively. She currently resides in Woonsocket, Rhode Island and is a full-time English teacher at Burrillville High School in Harrisville, Rhode Island.

Lauren Gregor enters her second year as assistant coach under head coach Bobby Desilets. In her first season, she helped the Nighthawks to their first winning conference season with a 4-3-1 record and a New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) post-season berth for the second consecutive year.
Prior to arriving at Newbury, Gregor served as the head coach of the girl’s premier, Under 16, Charles River United (CRU) team in the MASC division of the Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association for the last four years.
As a four year starter for the Brandeis University women’s soccer program, Gregor led the Judges to three ECAC appearances which included a trip to the finals. During her career she was a 2-time All-New England selection, 3-time All-conference selection as well as second team ESPN the Magazine College Division Academic soccer team. She finished her career 2nd in school history for both points and goals scored, as well as 4th in assists. A native of Holliston, MA she graduated in 2006 with a B.S. in Chemistry with a minor in secondary education and currently resides in Boston, MA.
