Women's Soccer selected fourth by NECC coaches
The Newbury College women’s soccer teams were picked by the 10 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) head coaches to finish fourth with a total of 64 points – 32 behind conference favorite Lesley University, who received 96 points including seven first place votes.
The Nighthawks return to the pitch after earning their second straight trip to the NECC post-season as the fifth seed with a 4-3 conference record. 2010 Rookie of the Year, forward Briana Tomaselli (Warwick, R.I.) returns for her sophomore season following an impressive freshman season that saw her set Newbury records for goals and points, tallying a conference leading 22 goals and 45 points. Tomaselli will be joined by senior Jessica Graus (Rochester, N.Y.) who earned All-Conference Honorable Mention honors.
