Tomaselli is NCAA Assists Champion
In addition to earning conference and regional accolades in 2011, sophomore forward Briana Tomaselli (Warwick, R.I.) found herself the National Champion in assists per game this past fall. Averaging 0.86 assists per contest, the Rhode Island native recorded a career season-high 12 assists.
Completing just her second year on the soccer pitch, Tomaselli is already women's soccer's all-time leader in goals with 40 in her college career as well as second in Newbury soccer history behind only 2009 graduate John Mawson's 55. She surpassed Ashleigh Guy's 27 career goals on September 26th against Emerson College when she scored the Nighthawks lone goal in a 2-1 loss as well as became women's soccer's all-time leader in points with 93 career points.
