Curry, Graus Highlight the 2011 Athletic Banquet
In front of a packed house of nearly 250 people including over 130 athletes, their families, faculty and staff junior Patrick Curry (Hampstead, NH) and fellow junior Jessica Graus (Rochester, NY) earned the 2011 Male and Female Scholar-Athlete Award, respectively, at the 2010-2011 Athletic Banquet.

Women's Soccer Names Captains for 2011 Season
Newbury College Head Women's Soccer Coach Bobby Desilets has announced his team's tri-captains for the 2011 season. Senior midfielder Jess Graus and senior goalkeeper Rachel Wyszynski will be joined by returning junior forward Ashleigh Guy as the leaders of the 2011 Nighthawks.

Women's Soccer's Tomaselli Brazil Bound
Briana Tomaselli surprised herself in the fall as she led the Newbury College women’s soccer team and the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) with 22 goals, earning her Rookie of the Year and a first-team all-conference selection. Last month, she was surprised again being named to the USA D-3 Soccer All-Stars, a national team that will compete on tour in Brazil next month.

13 Student-Athletes Earn Fall Academic All-Conference
A total of 13 Newbury College fall student-athletes were named New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Academic All-Conference for the 2010 fall semester, announced yesterday by conference commissioner Del Malloy. Women’s soccer headlined the seven fall sports teams with five named Academic All Conference while women’s volleyball followed up with four. Women’s cross country, men’s soccer and women’s tennis were also represented.

Tomaselli Earns Rookie of the Year; All-NECC First Team Honors
Freshman Briana Tomaselli headlines three Newbury College women’s soccer student-athletes earned All-Conference honors by the head coaches of the New England Collegiate Conference on Monday. Senior Ashley Greene-Allen and junior Jessica Graus named to All-Conference second team and honorable mention, respectively.

Nighthawks Season Ends in Tough Loss to Eagles
Nashua, NH – Senior Kim Lemire (Merrimack, N.H.) belted a 20-yard strike to the top right corner with just 4:56 remaining in regulation to deliver the fourth-seeded Daniel Webster College women’s soccer team a 1-0 victory over fifth-seeded Newbury College in a in a New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) quarterfinal matchup Tuesday afternoon at Eagle Field.

2010 NECC Women's Soccer Championship Pairings Anounced
The Nighthawks tied Daniel Webster College for fourth place in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) with a 4-3-1 record; but the Eagles earned the #4 seed after defeating the Nighthawks on October 19th, 3-2.

Nighthawks Split Soccer Double-header, Fall to Lynx, 4-0
The Newbury College women’s soccer team fell to Lesley University, 4-0, in the second game of the men’s-women’s double-header, Saturday afternoon. It was the Nighthawks last contest of the regular season and before the game they honored senior Ashley Greene-Allen (Brockton, Mass./Brockton) for her four years of dedication to the program.

Nighthawks Fall to Lions, 6-1
Emerson College allowed the first goal to Newbury College but less than two minutes later had a 2-1 lead en route to a 6-1 non-conference women's soccer victory at Emerson's Rotch Field. Freshman Brianna Tomaselli (Warwick, R. I.) led off the scoring in the 32nd minute with her 22nd goal of the season.

Nighthawks Fly High Over Mountaineers
The Newbury College women’s soccer team defeated Southern Vermont College in a NECC conference match, 6-1, Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Nighthawks improve to 3-2-1 in the conference and 5-7-2 overall while the Mountaineers fall to 0-7 in the NECC and 0-14 overall. Freshman Krista Toney (Broken Arrow, OK/Union) registered two goals in the victory.

The Newbury College women’s soccer team’s late rally was not enough to overcome Daniel Webster College as the Eagles defeated the Nighthawks 3-2 in a New England Collegiate Conference matchup Tuesday at Eagle Field.

Nighthawks Preserve the 4-4 Stalemate
The Newbury College women’s soccer team battled Mitchell College to a 4-4 tie in the second game of Sunday afternoon’s men’s-women’s doubleheader. It was a game of two halves. A combined six goals were scored between the Nighthawks and Mariners in the first period while second half was all defense aside from two Mitchell goals. Senior Ashley Greene-Allen (Brockton, Mass./Brockton) score the Nighthawks third consecutive goal on a long give-and-goal chip shot to the right corner of the net in minute 16.

The Newbury College women’s soccer team recorded their first win against Becker College with the 5-2 victory, Saturday afternoon. Junior Rachel Wyszynski (Wilbraham, MA/Minnechaug Regional) scored the game's first goal and added an assist in the 70th minute in the victory.

PAXTON, Mass. (09.28.10) – The Anna Maria College women’s soccer team played Newbury College to a 1-1 tie through two overtimes on Tuesday evening at AMCAT Field. The tie moves the AMCATS to 0-7-1 overall, while the Nighthawks’ go to 1-5-1 on the season

The Rivier College Raiders pressured on offense all day as they defeated the Newbury College Nighthawks 6-1 in women's soccer action today. The win improves the Raiders to a 5-3 overall mark while the Nighthawks fall to 1-4 on the season.

The Newbury College women’s soccer team fell to Elms College, 4-0, in the second game of the men’s and women’s soccer doubleheader, Saturday afternoon. Junior Erica Griffo (Syracuse, NY/Solvay) recorded a goal and two assists in the Blazers first conference game of the season and second victory overall.

The Newbury College women’s soccer team was defeated by Framingham State College this afternoon, 6-1, in Chestnut Hill, MA. Leading the way for the Rams was first year midfielder Marissa D’Angelo (Whitman, MA) who collected 2 goals for a total of 4 points on the day.

Tomaselli Earns NECC Weekly Honors
Newbury freshman Briana Tomaselli (Warwick, RI/Pilgrim) was named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Rookie of the Week after leading Newbury to the 2-1 victory against Pine Manor College on September 13th. Tomaselli recorded both goals for the Nighthawks including the game-winner in the 38th minute of the contest.

The Newbury College women’s soccer team collected their first win of the season defeating the Gators of Pine Manor College by a score of 2-1 in Chestnut Hill, MA this afternoon. First year Forward Briana Tomaselli (Warwick, RI) led the way for the Nighthawks scoring both of her team’s goals in the first half.

Falcons Soar Over Nighthawks, 4-1
On Wednesday afternoon Albertus Magnus won their second game in a row as they defeated visting Newbury College 4-1. The Falcons scored in just the 2nd minute off the leg of freshman midfielder Amanda Roke (Cheshire, CT) on a pass from freshman forward Samantha Corso (Derby, CT). Freshman Briana Tomaselli found the back of the net in the 86th minute of the contest to put the Nightawks on the board.
