Newbury Women's Soccer Completes 2008 Season
The Newbury College Women's Soccer program closed out its 2008 season with a win over NECC opponent Southern Vermont College on October 25th, by a score of 1-0 and ended their season with an overall record of 2-15 (1-7 NECC).

Mariners Topple Nighthawks
Mitchell College defeated host Newbury College in Women's Soccer by a score of 6-3 today in Chestnut Hill, MA in the first meeting of the teams in the inaugural year of the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC). The Mariners were paced by sophomore Paige Ehnot (West Hartford, CT/Conrad) and freshman Nicole Hoxie (Winsted, CT/Gilbert School). Ehnot and Hoxie peppered the Nighthawks keeper Anastasia Tridenti (Gloucester, RI/Ponaganset) taking 15 of the visitors' 26 shots, scoring on five of them.

Becker Edges Past Newbury
The Becker College Hawks edged past the Newbury College Nighthawks by a score of 3-2 in a Women's Soccer match played today in Chestnut Hill, MA. Becker improves to 4-9-1, while Newbury falls to 1-13.

Salem State Offense Dominates
The Vikings of Salem State College dominated the offensive side of the field vs. the Newbury College Nighthawks in Women's Soccer action today. In an afternoon game in Chestnut Hill, MA, Salem State outshot Newbury 57-2 en route to a 7-0 victory. With the loss, Newbury drops to 1-12, while Salem State improves to 11-1-1.

The Beacons of UMass Boston defeated the Nighthawks of Newbury College 7-1 this afternoon in Chestnut Hill, MA. The Beacons improve to 4-5-1 on the season, while the Nighthawks drop to 0-10.

Falcons Cruise to Victory
The Newbury College Women's Soccer team was shut out by the Falcons of Fitchburg State Collge by a score of 12-0 in Chestnut Hill, MA this afternoon. The Falcons led 5-0 at the half and went on to score seven more goals in the second to cruise to their 5th win of the season, improving to 5-2, while the Nighthawks fell to 0-4

Grenier's Four Goals lift gators past Nighthawks
The Newbury College womens soccer team was shut out by the Gators of Pine Manor College, 5-0 this afternoon in Chestnut Hill, MA. Alicia Grenier (Swansea, MA/Joseph Case) led the way for the Gators with an impressive 4 goals and 1 assist.

Nighthawk Women's Soccer Energized by Young Squad in 2008
The Newbury College Women's Soccer team enters its second year as a varsity program with a young squad looking to improve on its rookie season. Head Coach Deb Godbout is "quite excited for our second season. We have freshmen that should come in and make a positive impact right away. Having the addition of our newcomers with our returners should make for a great, competitive season."
