McKey, Morgan Sweep Weekly Cross Country Honors

RUNNER OF THE WEEK – Newbury College sophomore Jarryl Mckey (Brooklyn, NY/Frederick Douglas Academy) was awarded the first NECC Runner of the Week honors for 2010.  McKey crossed the line in 40th place with a 6K time of 27:55. This was Mckey’s first cross country race.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Newbury College freshman John Morgan (Cumberland, RI/Cumberland) garners the first NECC rookie honors for the year. He clocked a 24:00 time over a 6K course at the UMaine Farmington Invitational to a 14th place finish. Morgan was the first Nighthawk harrier to cross the finish line.
