Daniel Webster College Eagle Invitational
Nashua - The Daniel Webster College men's and women's cross
country teams finished fourth and fifth, respectively at the annual
Eagle Invitational held on the College campus Friday afternoon.
Paced by individual champion John Hoffman's (Bala Cynwyd, Penn.)
time of 29:41 on the 8K course, Mitchell College took the men's
team victory with a low score of 46 points, while Suffolk took
second (59), NHTI placed third (61), Daniel Webster took fourth
(69) and Newbury College took fifth (80). Elms College and Nashua
Community College did not score.
Chris Laplante (Medfield, Mass.) led the Eagles placing second
overall (29:49), while Mitchell's Eric Appleby (Monroe, Conn.) took
third (31:04).
Newbury's Gabriel Nunez (Jersey City, N.J.) and Suffolk's John
Blazo (Pembroke, Mass.) rounded out the top five.
David Stern placed 19th overall for the Eagles, while Alden
Petrowski (Lakeville, Mass.) placed 20th, Coby Costa (Bantam,
Conn.) was 21st and Eric Caron (Groveton, N.H.) was 23rd.
