Talamantes Earns NECC Honors

Senior setter Matt Talamantes (Los Angeles, Calif.) earned New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Player of the Week honors as he helped guide the Nighthawks to their second consecutive NECC Men's Volleyball Championship title. In addition to he was named the 2011 NECC Player of the Year.

Talamantes helped Newbury to a 3-1 week as he averaged 10.5 assists per set while registering a .488 hitting percentage. He also tallied 21 kills, averaging 2.56 per set, and 15 digs  (1.88 per set).
