Newbury to Host NECC Men’s Volleyball Championship

Newbury College will host the inaugural New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) men's volleyball championship this Saturday at Hellenic College.

The championship format will be a four-team single elimination tournament. The Nighthawks will kick off the first match of the semifinals as the number one seed against the fourth seeded Lynx of Lesley University at 11:00 am. Newbury finished the regular season with a 21-10 record (7-1 NECC), while Lesley finished 3-18 overall (2-6 NECC).

Second seeded Elms College will face third seeded Daniel Webster College in the second match of the semifinals at 1:00pm. The Blazers finished the regular season with a 16-12 overall record and 7-1 conference record, while the Eagles ended the regular season with a 5-12 record and 4-4 in the conference.

The championship match will start at 3:00pm.
