Thomas Named to Second-Team All-NECVA; Nighthawks Gear up for ECAC's
The Newbury College men's volleyball team was tabbed the #2 seed in the 2009 ECAC Division III North Region Men's Volleyball Championship and will travel to host and #1 seed Elms College on Saturday, April 11th to take on #3 Endicott College in a semifinal match beginning at 1:00 PM. Elms College will receive a bye and face the winner of the semifinal contest in the championship match at 3:00 PM.
The Nighthawks will be led by junior Mark Thomas (Wilbraham, MA/Minnechaug Regional) who was recently named to the Second-Team All-NECVA as a middle-hitter following a near 500 kill season, to date. Thomas was honored for this most recent accolade following the NECVA tournament on Saturday, April 4, 2009.
