Newbury Supports Special Olympics
Five Newbury College student-athletes volunteered and supported Special Olympics athletes from surrounding Eastern Massachusetts cities and towns at the eight annual Bio-Ball Tournament* at Buckingham, Browne & Nichols School in Cambridge, Mass., Saturday afternoon April 28th.

Curry, Graus Highlight 2012 Athletic Banquet
For the second straight year seniors Patrick Curry (Hampstead, N.H.) and Jessica Graus (Rochester, N.Y.) highlighted the 2011-12 Newbury College Athletic Banquet receiving Scholar-Athlete Award for the 2011-12 academic year.

Nighthawks Celebrate Weiner on Senior Day
The Wheelock men's tennis team picked up their first conference win of the season defeating the Newbury College Nighthawks 6-3, this afternoon in Watertown, MA. Despite the loss, the Nighthawks celebrated the four-year career of Senior Ben Weiner (Barrington, RI/Barrington) who picked up his last victory of his college athletic career winning in the number two doubles spot with teammate Wayne Gethers (Cambridge, MA/Cambridge Rindge & Latin).

The Newbury College men's tennis team was able to pick up three big wins despite falling to New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) foe Lesley University, 6-3, in Chestnut Hill, Mass. Saturday afternoon.

Nighthawks Fall to Pride Despite Strong Outings from Weiner, Morgan
The Newbury College men’s tennis team was able to pick up two big wins despite falling to New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Foe Regis College, 7-2, in Weston, Mass. Tuesday evening. Sophomore John Morgan (Cumberland, R.I.) picked up his first singles victory of the season with a 6-2, 6-4 victory in fifth singles.

Nighthawks Fall to Mariners, 9-0
The Newbury College men’s tennis program fell to Mitchell College, 9-0, Tuesday evening in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) action. Sophomore John Morgan (Cumberland, R.I.) was solid despite the loss, battling third his third singles opponent to 12 games in the second set after falling down 6-2 in the first set.

Nighthawks Fall to Hawks, 5-0
The Newbury College men’s tennis team fell to Becker College, 5-0, in their New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) opener, Wednesday evening. The Hawks earned their first win of the season improving to 1-4 and 1-1 in conference action while the Nighthawks fall to 0-2 and 0-1 in the NECC.
