Mitchell Men's Tennis Remains Undefeated

The Mitchell College men's tennis team remains undefeated, improving their record to 6-0, (4-0 NECC), over host Newbury College in Chestnut Hill this afternoon by the score of 9-0.  The Mariners took control early, sweeping the Nighthawks in doubles play, and then controlling the tempo in singles play for the impressive victory.

Despite the defeat, the Nighthawks continue to show improvement in their play, though it has not showed up in the winner's column much this year.  The young Newbury team has received consistent fine play out of junior Nick Sehovich (Pelham, NH/Pelham) and freshman Matthew O'Donnell (Vernon, CT/Rockville) and has a nucleus of young players to build a program around.

Newbury drops to 1-8 (1-4 NECC), and will return to the courts on Sunday as they host local New England Collegiate Conference opponent Lesley University; match time at 11:00.
