Men's Golf in Sixth after Day 1 of NECC Tournament

STOW, Mass. – First year golfer A.J. Skinner (Quincy, Mass.) turned in a scorecard of an 80 and currently sits fifth on the first day of the 2015 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Championship Tournament, Saturday afternoon. The Nighthawks currently sit sixth with a team-score of 365.

Skinner who was one-under on the par fives on the Stow Acres Country Club North Course, registered seven pars and two birdies on the afternoon. Fellow first year Colin Davis (Marshfield, Mass.) carded an 87 while first year Mark Travers (Norwood, Mass.) fired a 97. First year Dawud Moragne (Makawao, Hawaii) rounded out the Nighthawks with a 101.

Defending champion Babson College currently sits atop the leader board after the first day of the tournament a team-score of 313 led by Riley Whitham's 73, which leads the 35 player field. Elms College is second with a 326 team-score while Becker College is third with a 351 score.

The Nighthawks return to the links tomorrow morning with Skinner teeing off a 11:30 a.m.
