D'Agostino, Nighthawks Fourth After Day One
STOW, Mass. – The Babson College men's golf team sits atop the leader board after day one of the 2013 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Championship with a team-score of 308, Saturday afternoon. Springfield College and Elms College are hot on the Beavers tails, tied for second with a overall team-score of 317.
Babson sophomore Vijay Vasandani (Cebu, Philippines) and Elms senior Henry Fall (Harpswell, Maine) tied former Beaver, Joe Young for the NECC all-time record-low, each matching cards, firing three-under par, 69 (34-35). (Young recorded a 69 on the first day of the 2011 NECC Championship at DW Field Golf Course in Brockton, Mass.)
Junior Cameron D'Agostino (Salisbury, Mass.) responded from a rocky front nine, firing a two-under 34 on the back for a career-low 76 to lead host Newbury. Daniel Webster sophomore Clint Goodwin (Lebanon, N.H.) carded a 77 while Becker senior Ryan Benson (Methuen, Mass.) turned in a score card of a 79.
The 2013 NECC Golf Championship resumes play tomorrow morning at 10:00 a.m.
