Scibelli Finishes 37th at Blazer Invitational

GRANBY, Mass. – Freshman Michael Scibelli (Monson, MA/Monson) tied for 37^th out of 72-player field at the at the Elms College Blazer Invitational on September 29^th finishing with a score of an 87 at the one day tournament in the western part of the  state.

The Nighthawks  finished the day turning in an overall team score of 403. Juniors Justin Kaufman (Wolfeboro, NH/Kingswood Regional) and Daniel Harris (Easton, CT/Joel Barrow) each carded a 97 on the afternoon. Kaufman rebounded firing a 43 on the second nine after carding a 54 on the front while Harris was consistent on the day with 48 – 49 to finish 61^st on the field.

Elms College's A-team won the tournament with a 305 team-score, 12 strokes ahead of Nichols College (317). Blazers sophomore Phil Rurak (Wilbraham, MA/Minnechaug Regional) was the tournament medalist shooting an even par ,72, on the day.

The Nighthawks return to the links on Tuesday October 5^th when they host Anna Maria College at Brookline Golf Club at Putterham. Tee time's at 12:00pm.
