Eagles Top Nighthawks, 349-423
Freshman Mike Scibelli (Monson, MA/Monson) fired a team-low 97 as the Newbury College opened the season against Daniel Webster College Friday afternoon. Daniel Webster senior Michael Fuller (Chelmsford, MA/Chelmsford) and freshman Cory Clark (Sanford, ME/Sanford) both carded an 85 as the Eagles topped the Nighthawks, 349-423.
Eagles junior Emily Bouchard (Saco, ME/Thornton Academy) played solid as she turned in a card of an 89. Junior Kevin Krupinski (Woodstock, CT/Pomfret) rounded out the four Eagles recording a 90.
Sophomore Justin MacCutcheon (Woburn, MA/Woburn Memorial) fired a 101 in his first collegiate match of his career. Junior Daniel Harris (Easton, CT/Joel Barlow) recorded a 108 while Max Hrasky (Marion, MA/Tabor Academy) rounded out the four, carding a 117.
The Nighthawks will return to the links September 14th when they will travel to Chicopee, MA for the Elms College Invitational at 11:00am.
