Forrest's Record Week Ends with Pitcher of the Week Honor

ATTLEBORO, Mass. - Nighthawks senior Ethan Forrest (East Bridgewater, Mass.) tied a pair of Nighthawks records this week and was rewarded for his work with his second New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Week award this season, for the week ending on April 2.

Forrest has been stellar for the Nighthawks in the first half of the season, finishing 2-0 on the week for Newbury. On Thursday, Forrest made a relief appearance, picking up the victory over Rivier after pitching one inning.

On Sunday, in NECC play, Forrest pitched a complete-game, allowing one run on five hits and tying a Newbury record for strikeouts in a game with 11. Forrest is now 6-1 with a 1.67 ERA. The six wins this season also ties the mark for most wins in a season in program history.

It's a four-game week for the Nighthawks starting Wednesday, April 5 as the Nighthawks host Emerson College at 3:30 p.m. Then, a three-game series in the NECC vs. Elms College. The Nighthawks host a doubleheader on Saturday starting at 1:00 p.m., then travel to Elms to finish the series on Sunday at 12:00 p.m.
