Coach Sullivan says…“Jorge has proven that he can be a very good pitcher for us. He is a very smart pitcher and has shown signs of being able to make himself into a very dominant pitcher if he develops a consistent third pitch.”

As a freshman (2009):
Appeared in 11 games with seven starts…went 2-5 …pitched complete game, nine inning, 5-4 victory over Drew University allowing five hits and three earned runs…pitched complete game, seven inning, 8-5 victory over St. Joseph’s College of Brooklyn allowing six hits and recording seven strikeouts.

Before Newbury:
Played four years of varsity baseball earning First Team All League honors…also played two years of basketball, one on varsity…Also coached two years of Babe Ruth baseball
