Nine Student-Athletes Earn Winter/Spring Academic All-Conference
A total of nine Newbury College winter and spring student-athletes were named New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Academic All-Conference, announced by Commissioner Del Malloy on Tuesday. In addition to their tremendous improvement on the diamond, baseball headlined the winter and spring sports with four named Academic All-Conference. Women’s basketball followed up with two while softball, men’s tennis and men’s volleyball each had one representative.
To be eligible for the NECC Academic All-Conference, a student-athlete must post a minimum grade point average of 3.40 on a scale of 4.00 and must be sophomore or higher in class standings. Student-athletes who compete in men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, softball, men’s tennis and men’s volleyball were eligible for the winter and spring NECC Academic All-Conference.
