Newbury Releases Fall Schedules

Newbury College announces release of the Fall 2011 schedules. Cross Country will open the 2011-2012 academic year on Friday September 2^nd at the Mayflower Kickoff hosted by New England College while men’s soccer, women’s soccer, women’s volleyball and women’s tennis will all be in action on the road on Saturday September 3^rd.

The women’s soccer program seeks their third consecutive NECC post-season appearance under third year head coach Bobby Desilets on the road against Bridgewater State University, Saturday September 3^rd at 6:00pm. They will open up at home against non-conference Anna Maria College Thursday September 8^th at 4:00pm.

Rest of the Women’s Soccer 2011 Schedule

After making the NECC semifinals for the second consecutive year in 2010, women’s volleyball team is scheduled to compete in three invitationals in 2011 under second year head coach Chris Taylor. Opening up at the Gordon College Invitational in Wenham, Mass. on September 3^rd, Newbury will host a five-team, two-day invitational the next weekend (September 9^th – 10^th). Later in the month, they will travel down the road to Cambridge, Mass. for the MIT Invitational.

Rest of the Women’s Volleyball 2011 Schedule

Fresh off a second straight NECC semifinals appearance, second year head men’s soccer  coach Andrew Lafrenz released a competitive 2011 schedule. The men’s soccer team will open their 18 game schedule at the two-day Regis College Invitational in Weston, Mass. on Saturday September 3^rd.

Under first year head women’s tennis coach, Andre Ward, the women’s tennis team are on the road for their first three matches of the 2011 season but return home on Thursday September 15^th against non-conference UMass-Dartmouth at 4:00pm.

Rest of the Women’s Tennis 2011 Schedule

Men’s golf opens up a competitive golf schedule at home, under first year head coach Garrett Quinn, against Becker College and Mitchell College on Monday September 12^th at 1:00pm. In addition for the fifth consecutive year they will participate in the annual Elms College Blazer Invitational.
