13 Student-Athletes Earn Fall Academic All-Conference
A total of 13 Newbury College fall student-athletes were named New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Academic All-Conference for the 2010 fall semester, announced yesterday by conference commissioner Del Malloy. Women’s soccer headlined the seven fall sports teams with five named Academic All Conference while women’s volleyball followed up with four. Women’s cross country, men’s soccer and women’s tennis were also represented.
To be eligible for the NECC Academic All-Conference, a student-athlete must post a minimum grade point average of 3.40, on a scale of 4.00, and must be a sophomore or higher in class standings. Student-athletes who competed in men’s and women’s cross country, field hockey, golf, men’s and women’s soccer, women’s tennis and women’s volleyball were eligible for the fall NECC Academic All-Conference.
